HOW TO DO MY GUA SHA RITUAL AT HOME
Follow these steps for my Gua Sha ritual at home
-
I start with a clean face and neck, applying a nourishing oil or moisturiser.
I take a few deep breaths to settle the nervous system and invite calm.
-
I choose the desired Gua Sha tools, and begin at the back of the neck, sweeping upward toward the ears, then forward down to the collarbones to encourage lymphatic movement and a sense of release.
-
Starting at the center of the chin, I glide the tool gently out toward the ears, in 45° angles, keeping the skin connected and anchored with my other hand.
-
I move across the face from the nose, along the cheekbones, and the delicate eye area, out and up, repeating each stroke 3–5 times, being extra gentle around the eyes.
-
I sweep behind and in front of the ears, down to the collarbones again, supporting drainage and helping the skin feel relaxed and lifted.
-
On the forehead, I glide upward and outward, and back down. If I use the comb tool, I gently massage from the hairline toward the crown to release tension and stimulate circulation.
- Pro Tip! Sometimes I place my tools in ice cubes between strokes, for a cooling, refreshing sensation that feels energizing.
-
Ending the routine, I dab off excess oil from face or possibly cleanse with micellar water, and apply moisturiser again.
-
Always wash your Gua Sha tools after each use with soap and water.
-
Now enjoy the feeling of balanced, calm and naturally radiant skin.
And this is where I would start applying makeup!

NOTE: Check with your doctor or healthcare provider if you are unsure if Gua Sha is suitable for you or not. Especially if you take any medication like blood thinners.
If you recently have had injectables of any form, wait 1 month to use Gua Sha.
If you have Acne, Psoriasis, Rosacea, Perioral Dermatitis or any other skin concern, avoid using Gua Sha if you have active breakouts. When your skin health is stable, it is safe to use gentle strokes around the breakout area, but not directly over it.
Remember to keep your tool clean at all times to avoid inflammation.
